Nebraska Christian Statement of Faith

The Nebraska Christian Schools statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible
itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth,
morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. When
interpretation is required, the responsibility is deferred to the Board of Directors of Nebraska Christian
Schools as the final authority on the Bible’s meaning and application for purposes of Nebraska Christian
Schools’ faith, doctrine, practice, board policy, and discipline. The below statement of faith includes the
principles and basis of the faith and doctrine for Nebraska Christian Schools.

❖ We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

❖ We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and
Holy Spirit.

❖ We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in
His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily
resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in
power and glory.

❖ We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.

❖ We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is
absolutely essential.

❖ We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is
enabled to live a godly life.

❖ We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the
resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

❖ We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

❖ We believe that the term marriage has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one
woman in a single, exclusive union. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur
only between a man and a woman who are married to each other.

❖ We believe that God wonderfully foreordained and immutably created each person as
either male or female in conformity with their biological sex.
